Program Overview
The Student IT Ambassadors are trained student employees embedded across campus colleges, libraries, and residence halls. They serve as first-line technology helpers for their peers — answering common questions, escalating unresolved issues to the IT Service Desk, and gathering feedback on IT services.
What Ambassadors Do
- Assist fellow students with Wi-Fi, printing, and software installation questions
- Promote awareness of available IT resources and self-help tools
- Attend monthly training sessions on new tools and IT policy changes
- Submit anonymous feedback reports on technology pain points
- Staff drop-in tech help hours during midterms and finals
How to Become an Ambassador
Applications open each spring for the following academic year. Students in any major are eligible. Priority is given to candidates who can commit to at least 8 hours per week during the academic year.
